Newer user and am stuck trying to add new data to Power BI Pro

I have a report built and need to update the data being used in the report. I was using the desktop version to do this, but have to use Power BI pro due to system limitations at work. 

The report is complete and the original data is already in the report. What I need to do is to delete the existing data or add the new data to Power BI. The best option would be to delete the original data and replace it. 

With the desktop app, I would use transform data >> view  >> change the data in the formula bar to point to the folders I am using to house the data. 

I cannot find this option in Power BI pro so am unable to update the data being used. I have searched on Google and Youtube and still cannot find the correct answer. It seems like very few sources actually walk you through using Power BI Pro and most use the desktop version. 

How do I link to the folders on my computer that I will use to house the data?

Hi @AndrewYoung ,

Are you confusing Power BI Pro with Power BI Service? 

Power BI Desktop means that desktop Power BI app. The one you can download from the Microsoft Store. 

Power BI Pro is a type of license. Has nothing to do with the desktop app Vs online... as in, you can have a Power BI Pro license and use the desktop version of Power BI.

If you meant to say Power BI Service, then unfortunately you cant change it there.

I still dont understand why you cant use the Power BI Desktop app to publish the report to Power BI Service?

@m_alireza I was able to resolve this but had to buy a laptop to do it. Our work computers will not let us download Power BI desktop. I bought a laptop as I needed a better computer than we get from work.
