Hello,
I was wondering if there's a feature to merge multiple Query Settings applied steps for better user experience?
For example, in these steps below I do same ETL for multiple columns and ideally I would like to merge and rename them.
Thanks!

Hi @Dom87326 ,
If your Merge steps are always based on the Renamed columns , it would cause errors when you want to combine all Renamed steps later like:
If not, I'd suggest you combine all Rename steps in Advanced Editor:
#"Renamed Columns1" = Table.RenameColumns(#"Merged Columns",{{"Column1, "Rename1"}, {"Column2", "Rename2"}})

Can you share the M code from the Advanced Editor? There may be a nice way to combine steps but it's not super easy to tell from just the names of the applied steps.
Hello, unfortunately I can't. Nevertheless, it seems that there is no option to combine or group steps in UI to reduce visible applied steps in query settings unless you change ETL logic in M.
@Dom87326 in the power query window, right click on your table/query and then select advance editor. in this editor you can rename the steps but make sure you make changes carefully else transformation may not work. keep the code backup before attempting to make changes.
