Merge multiple Excel files and block the update for some of them

Hi everyone,

I hope you are well !

I have several Excel files, with the exact same structure, one for 2020, one for 2021, one for 2022 and one for 2023. They are based on Sharepoint.

The one for 2023 will be updated on a monthly basis, but the other ones won't be updated.

I want to merge them into Power Query to have one table.

My problem, and I'm sure it's quite easy to do it, is that the files for the full year are quite big, and it slows a lot if Power Query updates them each time.

I'd like that it updates only the 2023 one (and I'll have to change it every year), and keep the past ones as they are.

What is the best way to do it ?

Thanks a lot for your help,

MA

consider using Incremental Refresh, with the RangeStart/RangeEnd based on the CSV file name.
