Matrix Visual

Hello,

iam using the Matrix visual, i have got Level1, Level2,Level3, Level4. Eg.. Level 4 is empty.

Output is

Level1

+Level2

+Level3

+Level4

Level4 is empty, i do not want to show in report, any ideas how to do this, Thanks..

You can drag Level_1 to Level_3 columns into the matrix without Level_4, just like below.

Level1 is Workforce, under Level1, there are 3 Levels
(No. of employees, no. of Contractors, Employees under)

We are using Matrix visulation to get the output.
Level1, Level2, Level3 are used as rows.

Year is the columns.

Metric_Value i.,e 30000, 29100 are values.

There is no child records for No. of employees, no. of Contractors.

Requirement is whenever there is no child records, no need to display "+" symbol.
since if we select "+" also, nothing is displaying.
for No. of employees, no. of Contractors.

The most important parts are:
1. Sample data as text, use the table tool in the editing bar
2. Expected output from sample data
3. Explanation in words of how to get from 1. to 2.

Iam having the data in table and by using Matrix visual, the above data is coming.

Don’t want null values to be displayed in the matrix, or only those items which has data in the table needs to be displayed ,  Employees and Contractors are having blank/null, its displaying as "+". Nothing should could in front of that.

Please let me know any suggestions..

@YashikaAgrawal I doubt I understand the full picture of your source data. Why not just drop Level4  column in PQ?

Hi @YashikaAgrawal,

As @Greg_Deckler has pointed out, there's not really enough detail to answer your question but based on what I understand, if you're expecting 'Social' and 'Workforce' to be blank with the data you've provided and you only want to show 'level 4' when there is data, I think you need to remodel the data. Possibly unpivot level 1-4.

If I'm missing the point, I think you're going to need to spend more time explaining your scenario and providing some more usable sample data.
