Live Connection Issue With MSBI Server

Hi Everyone !

I am New to BI and Facing a Small Isuue.

we have a OLAP Cube in our Organisation and we connect it through Excel.

it somthing Like

https://......../olap-ssl/msmdpump.dll

When i am trying to connect it through Power BI in Live connection mode it is giving me an error of time out or server name is incorrect.

However when i am selecting as import mode it gets connected..

Please help me in this !!

Hi @Anonymous ,

For smaller dataset, it's perfectly fine to load data into powerbi and create a model. But if data is huge you can create an SSAS tabular model connect to PowerBI.

Which connector are you using? Excel, or SSAS or other?

Please share more detail information(error messages, screenshots) to help us clarify your scenario.
