Hello
I am very new to this so apologies for being an idiot if this is an easy fix.
I am trying to link to lists within my main subsite on sharepoint.
when i try to connect it displays this error? OData: The feed's metadata document appears to be invalid."
Now i have tried the master site and that works fine, but i can't connect to the subsite.
do you guys know what could cause this? It seems to work on other subsites?
Thank you for any help with this, i am on Sharepoint 2010
Did your issue ever get solved ? I am seeing the same thing.
Thank you
Not sure if this is the problem, but I recall a while ago running into this and it had something to do with a column in a SharePoint list starting with a number or something crazy like that. I'll try to dig around for the threads for that.
Thank you Smoupre 🙂 its really a strange error.
Here you go, this is what I was talking about:
http://christine-payton.com/power-bi-error-feeds-metadata-document-appears-invalid/
Good day. I tried to follow that link but got an error that it was invalid. Was anyone able to get past this issue? I am on the March version of Power BI. When I was using the October 2017 Version of Power BI I was able to connect to my SharePoint subsite List. As soon as I updated to the March version I get the OData error and CANNOT get pasdt it to produce my reports.
Anyone find a solution?
