Invoke Custom Functions missing

Hi Community,

Need some assistance on this.

I'm trying to select data from sharepoint and import it but am running into a problem with the combing of files.

I've previously performed the same task successfully using the built in "combine files" functionality selecting data from a local directory.

I've checked through the steps and its seeming to get hung up on a step where it creates a new column and convets the binary data into a table.  This is the "Invoke Custom Function" to add a new column.

Looking at my local version I can see 4 options for the Function query.

However when i look at the query that is being performed against the SharePoint data those Function query options are not available. Drop down is greyed out.

Why would this be and how do I fix it?

I'm using the Trial Version of Power BI Pro.

Thanks,

J

using the built in "combine files" functionality

Don't do that if you want to avoid the mess that it generates.  Create your own collection by listing the files you want to combine, adding a custom column with the table version of each file, and then expanding that table column.    Same basic idea, but much cleaner. Plus - you keep everyting inside a Power Query partition which will be important later on.

Thanks for the tip. Can you please point me to example code of how to do this?
The adding the custom column and transforming it to a table is where i'm struggling at the moment.

can you please post two sample files?
