Hi everyone,
I´ve set up the automated import from a folder with some example files in Power Query and it´s working as expected (Folder and files are on Sharepoint)
But when a new file (same structure) is added to the folder, Power Query is not loading the data until I open the File itself and scroll a bit through it (around the first 50-100 rows), then everything is loaded as expected
Is there anything I can do to avoid this step? Because its not very practical as there will be daily new files added to the folder
Thanks in advance for your help
Regards
Hendrik
Hi Everyone and thank you for your replies,
first of all the report is not published as I´m still working on it in PowerQuery. The Ideas that you´ve brought up unfortunately didn´t helped with my problem.
It´s quite easy to replicate, if I simply save the file from the Mail to Sharepoint--> No Updates in PowerQuery.
But if I open the file in the mail, then save it to Sharepoint and refresh my PowerQuery, everything is there
Hi @Hendrik_
If you are opening pbix and checking the data it won't show up unless it is refreshed again after the addition of the report and similar in the service. Schedule your refresh after reports are added into the folder.
To be on safe side refresh the dataset after 5-10 minutes gap, when the file is added to your source.
Hi @Hendrik_ ,

I think the direct way is to click the "Refresh Preview" button.

You will need to setup automated refresh for it.
