I am using a Sharepoint folder for several queries and it has been working fine. Then it would randomly give a request failed error and I would need to wait a while or clear permissions and reenter my credentials. Now it's everytime I add another step to a query and takes hours for simple changes.
Are there API Call limits? Any other ideas?
I swapped the source line in the advanced editor for the queries to use the local files as a temp solution.
The error is:
An error occurred in the ‘xxxxxxxxxx’ query. DataSource.Error: SharePoint: Request failed:
@salty , refer if these two can be bit of help

I am sure there are limits, but I doubt you'd hit those with Power BI as it should log in once for each session, not each call to the data. I've not seen that error. You might want to talk to your SharePoint admin and see what they have to say.
DAX is for Analysis. Power Query is for Data Modeling
