Our webAPI returns data based on supplied parameters like userId, date range etc.
How we can get data at runtime (using DirectQuery) from Web API depending on user details (auth token)/inputs?
We can see DirectQuery is not supported for Web data source.
I can see this https://www.progress.com/tutorials/odbc/directquery-your-custom-rest-api-in-power-bi post which gives ODBC based solution. Is it recommended way to support direct query for Web API datasource?
Does anyone has other solution to address this requirement?
Have you seen the article on real time streaming in Power BI?
DAX is for Analysis. Power Query is for Data Modeling

MCSA: BI ReportingThe data is sensitive to user and depending on user access data changes. With streaming dataset approach, I am not sure if we can create different dataset based on user and create report instance at runtime. I can see we need to build and bind dataset at design time from given example.
