Hi All
There is quite likely an easy solution to this but I am learning PowerBi and deploying a company solution at the same time so any help is appreciated. I have data that's been generated from leaching testwork (metallurgy), which essentially consists of x,y pairs of time (in hours) and leaching efficiency (%). We have done over 90 tests in different labs, and tests run anywhere from 6 weeks to 6 months. Conditions are varied but in all of these tests, results can be interpretted in the same time-leaching efficiency format. Each test has a unique test ID that will identify the conditions for that test. I now need to load all these data into a PowerBi model and then use them to compare tests and look at graphs for the different tests. Here is a link to some sample data Sample Results File.xlsx. How best can I transform this Excel file which is in this format so that I can be able to compare different tests? By the way results from all the 90 tests have been extracted from the source Excel files into a single file looking like the one linked above.
I hope this makes sense if not please ask so I can try be clearer.
Thanks
Hi!
I think as a first step you should do this step in Power BI instead of doing it manually:
"By the way results from all the 90 tests have been extracted from the source Excel files into a single file looking like the one linked above. "
Assuming your tests results are in .csv .xlsx format or similar you can put them all together in a folder and then use power query to combine them.
Can you share some information on those files? We can then help you to create the import query in Power BI.
