How filter Dim Table in Power Query

Hi,

 

For Test purpose , I have a fact table with only 1000 records and another dimension  with more than 1 million of rows .

I would like to reduce the dimension table with only the rows available in the fact table in power query

 

Can you please help me on this matter ?

I don't understand why you have this scenario but to do what you're asking...

  • Select the dimension table
  • Choose Merge Queries
  • Select the matching keys from each table
  • Set the join type to inner click OK
  • Delete the newly added column

See gif below... Edit: (choose dimension, not fact)
