Hi,
I need to know how Direct Query works for SQL Server? For import mode, I know it clears and adds new records dataset after the configured time (say 15min).
Does Direct Query push records to the dataset or it works like import mode?

@mak82pk,
When using DirectQuery mode to connect to SQL Server database, no data will actually be imported into the Power BI store upon load. Queries will be sent to SQL Server database to retrieve necessary data when building visuals in Power BI Desktop.
After publishing report to Power BI Service, also, no data is included with the dataset. For more details, please review the following article.
