Getting error in Date type in Power Query.

Hi,

I downloaded the CSV format file of the Adventure works dataset from the Kaggle. I applied date formating as USA date type in Adventure Sales 2017 date field. However, I am getting an error from rows number 1714 to ending.

It would be greatly appreciated if you could suggest to me what's wrong with it. A screenshot is attached below.

Thank you

Since it looks like it starts to error at 1/13, I suspect it is a date locale issue. It is potentially coming in mm/dd/yyyy format but your locale is dd/mm/yyyy. If so, please see this article/video.

Hi, @Aamir2021

I downloaded this dataset and I noticed that the date value on row 1714 is 1/13/2017.

To select the the location that date format is MM/DD/YYYY will work for you.

Hi @Aamir2021,

Have you checked the error message? You can either click on the Error and it should open the message or select a cell where it says Error and then the message should be displayed on the lower end of your screen.

Maybe that already gives you a hint on what is wrong with your data. Otherwise, feel free to share the message and I am willing to help you! 🙂
