Hi there,
I hope to get some help on my problem for importing files that reside in the same folder with my master file.
In my folder, there are 6 forecast files and 1 master file
Folder A:
- Forecast file for banana
- Forecast file for apple
- Forecast file for orange
- Forecast file for pineapple
- Forecast file for lychee
- Forecast file for pear
- Master file for all fruit
I will get data > folder to combine all data from the 6 forecast files into my master file but I keep getting error when I try to refresh my query in master file because the master file is one of the files reside in this folder so I cannot run the run the query without closing the master file, and I can not trigger the refresh without open the master file. I am stuck here and hopefully someone could kindly advise me, thank you very much!!
Regards,
M
Hi M,
It sound like some circular reference problem.
But in the main query where all files are combined (so not any of the helper queries), can you insert a step right after the source step to filter the file names and exclude the master file?
Hope that works.
Regards,
Wouter
