Hi everyone
I'm trying to get the below table using power BI and struggling to get the column Supervisor ID using LOOKUPVALUE or the FILTER function. I have the employee name, employee ID, and Supervisor ID. I want to return the Supervisor ID by matching the employee name and supervisor name. Similar to index/match on excel. Thank you!
| Employee name | Employee ID | Supervisor Name | Supervisor ID |
| A | 1 | E | 5 |
| B | 2 | E | 5 |
| C | 3 | E | 5 |
| D | 4 | A | 1 |
| E | 5 | A | 1 |
If you need to use DAX you should look up the SUMMARIZECOLUMNS function.

You could add a custom column with the Text.Contains function wrapped in an if statement
If you only want the rows with matched records you can now filter the new custom column.
