Hello PowerBI community,
I have a powerBI direct query that uses a SQL query ((in PowerQuery)
The report is diplayed on MS Dynamic pages and each page correspond to a different customer. I currently use the URL to filter the data for each customer.
However, currently my SQL select ALL the customers then powerBI filters it down based on the URL. This is not ideal beause each time I end up re-downloading all the data then filtering them.
Is there a way to setup a parameter in powerQuery in a way that the value of the parameter would change based on the URL. So I can then pass that parameter to the SQL directly and filter the data via the SQL rather than doing it in powerBI.
I know how to create a parameter and use it in powerQuery but what I am asking is how do you I pass the value to the parameter based on the URL calling the report ?
