Dear community,
I successfully connected to a large Big query table, and I managed to use the incremental updates. It works like a charm.
However in my initial query, after the RangeStart/End filters I added a Table Join with another table.
I found out that when I apply, my Date Range filter is taken into account but all the rows (>10M) of the big query table are being challenged by the Table Join. And then the incremental updates is doing a time out.
is there a way to limit the merge action to the filtered Date range?
many thanks
@SuperKhazd0rf I am guessing you are using PQ to do the joins. If possible, do the joins on the server side before bringing the table. If you can't avoid that utilize DAX. PQ has significant performance issue when it comes to big tables.
Thanks unfortunately I can't do the join on big query as I do have a read only access and my other tables are stored in share point.
@SuperKhazd0rf build a data model and start utilizing DAX, DAX is blazing fast.
Hmm okay but do you mind to elaborate ?
