Hello,
In a report I import 3 json files that I'm not owner.
In my power query I import all the data then I filter on a field using a parameter. With to this filter I drop 90% of the data.
Wouldn't it be possible (and cleaner) to be able to filter before importing and only load the data that interests me?

Hi @BigLo ,
Unfortunately, currently Jason files cannot be filtered before being imported. Like SQL Server, you can enter the query statement in the following SQL statement before importing to achieve pre-filtering.
You can import Jason files into SQL server, and then Power BI connects to SQL server to implement pre-filtering.

Stephen Tao

How do you expect us to answer that? Yes?
Show us your query code at least so we can offer some suggestions.
Is the filter step the first thing done after the connection to the source files?
