Filter Data Source (webbased) based on value selected in Report Filter on Load of the report

I have this requirement where in I need to filter  query in Data Source (web based rest api) based on a filter value on Report. Is it possible?

For ex:

1. I have a GlobalID filter on my Power BI report.

2. On load of the Power BI form, user will pass a value to report; from query string.

3. In turn wish to utilize the filter value of Step-2 to further filter values coming from Data Source (web based rest api).
