Existing connection forcibly closed by the remote host

Hi,

I'm connecting to an SAP OData feed:

OData.Feed("https://myxxxxxx.sapbydesign.com/sap/byd/odata/cpm_corporateperformance_analytics.svc/XXXXXXXXXXXXQu... ne '00043' or CACCDOCTYPE ne '00058') and (CPOSTING_DATE ge datetime'2024-01-01T00:00:00' and CPOSTING_DATE le datetime'2024-01-31T23:59:59')&$top=99999&$format=atom", null, [Implementation="2.0",Timeout=#duration(0,0,10,0)])

The query is returning 8600 rows and 12 columns. The query works fine when launched on Excel or Browser, but PowerBI returns "Existing connection forcibly closed by the remote host". This is frustrating as the queries worked before with larger datasets (tens of thousands of rows), but now this is getting ridiculously small. What is the issue here? It seems like a PowerBI side issue, since the queries work when launched on other platforms.

Hi @CarlsBerg999

@lbendlin has pointed a direction, you can try provide a larger timeout value in the query.

If it doesn't help, here is another direction: try only connect to the root OData endpoint and then navigate and filter inside Power Query.

For example, connect to

https://myxxxxxx.sapbydesign.com/sap/byd/odata/cpm_corporateperformance_analytics.svc/XXXXXXXXXXXXQueryResults

or

https://myxxxxxx.sapbydesign.com/sap/byd/odata/cpm_corporateperformance_analytics.svc

Best Regards,
Jing
