Excel -->Publish-->Export Table and Data Model Into Power BI Dataset

I have a simple problem that is not obvious to me.

I transformed some data in Excel using Power Query.
That data is best viewed in Excel as a Power Query Pivot Table.

The X and Y axis of the Pivot Table in Excel are numerical.  Which is intended.
I then publish by exporting the data into a Power BI dataset.
When the end users retrieve the data from the Power BI dataset using Excel Get Data, the X and Y axis is changed to text.
This creates a big dilemma, because the user can no longer sort the X and Y axis of the data numerically.

How do I keep the data type intact as numerical when I pull the data back into Excel from a Power BI dataset?
It seems like a simple but elusive issue to solve.

Need some help here please... this will solve some pipeline throughput issues for me.

Hi @roncruiser ,

Did you try Get date -- Files -- Local Files -- Upload your Excel file to Power BI

Or just export data from visualizations?
