Excel Format Power BI

I am new to Power BI and I have watched a handful of tutorials but cant seem to find a good one on various excels (mainly the formatting).  The excels I keep have the months across the horizontal axis and measures we track down the vertical axis. I am having a hard time building reports with my data formatted this way in Power BI. I expirmented moving my data and having the months down the vertical axis and measures on the horizonal axis and had better luck. Is there anyway to keep my data in the format it is so I dont have to copy/paste all of my data in a new format? I hope that makes sense. Thanks!

@morrishe,

Which tutorial do you refer to? Could you please share sample data of your table and post expected result here? You can check this post about how to post sample data.

Lydia
