Error in CSV delimiter split

Hi all,

 

I'm pulling data from CSV files that are stored on a sharepoint. These files are extracted from a source system by someone with region settings 'en-US'. The column delimiter on these files is a comma.

 

I'm facing an issue where I receive an error message on the rows where there is a comma as part of a text field. In the example below you see that the third field has some commas which apparantely trip up power query eventhough it clearly recognizes this field as text by the "" signs. All others rows were split correctly.

Anyone has any idea on how to solve this?

Hi @Anonymous ,

 

My guess is that the quotes in the CSV are actually   ' + '  rather than   "   , if that makes sense?

A different Encoding method may handle this differently, or you can look to edit the quote values manually, something like this:
