Error Message With Quickbase Connector

Having an issue with the Quickbase connector. I followed the web instructions, to include posting the token as provided from the Quickbase site. I received the following error message:

Unable to connect

We encountered an error while trying to connect.

Details: "Authentification Fail with error: User token is invalid"

I am not seeing an option to edit or otherwise change the incorrect token I entered. How do you clear or edit a token once you've entered it as part of the connection process?

Here are a few things to check:

  1. Make sure you're putting in the app home page url, not a table home page (click home in QB and use that url).
  2. Use a user token instead of an app token.
  3. Our connector is no longer in beta, perhaps your PBI desktop needs the latest update?
  4. One last thing to check - you may need to clear the old connection settings via this method.

A helpful overview from Quick Base - https://help.quickbase.com/user-assistance/power_bi_with_quick_base.html

Hope this helps!

I am also having this issue.

I've previously connected an app on the same domain to PowerBi using the connector.

It has failed when trying to connect to a second app.

I have deleted the Global Permissions and re-added. It still fails

I had the same problem when I was using the connector.

1. Go to Query Mode.

2. Click on "Data Source Settings"

3. Click on "Global permissions" and then delete the permissions that are in there for the Quickbase Connector.

This will allow you to enter a new usertoken.
