Dynamically add a value from report to URI when used as a datasource

Hi, I have an API which takes a parameter on the URI, and works just fine when called from power BI like this:

Source = Json.Document(Web.Contents("http://10.176.35.8:8080/apps/GL/CCID_FYPD_DETAIL" & "?CCID=15903" )

I want this query to dynamically refresh, and for the value in CCID to come from a unique value in data from another table.

I also tried making a "CCID" parameter, which works to refresh the data, but so far I can only ask the user for the parameter data, I need this to come from data on the page.

Is what I am trying to do even possible?

Thanks,

George

Thanks for the heads up on this. The firewall is not the cause of any issue yet. The query I have executes fine against the backend.

My problem is rather that I do not know HOW to craft the query to use  data from the report to make it dynamic. I am hoping to use this in a drill through situation, where once on the "detail" page it will use a "parameter" from the record that was passed in from the drill operation.

Thanks for taking the time to describe the firewall operation. It was an interesting read.
