Dynamic M parameter is not working

I create a parameter and run the directquery with 

SQLQuery = "select source_id, entity_id, time from table where source_id = '" & SourceID & "'",

I also do the binding. But it is not working when the SourceID is changed.

I am not sure the reason and how can I see the value of the M parameter?

Are you using DQ? Then it is not supported. Also, check the documentation to ensure you are not hitting these limitations - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/desktop-dynamic-m-query-parameters#considera...
