Dynamic API Dataset refresh

Hi everyone,

I have an API with Date (from & to); I wanted to make the API dynamic to get the data from 3 days ago to 6 days ahead; I did the below query.

let
yesterday = Date.ToText(Date.From(DateTime.LocalNow() - #duration(3, 0, 0, 0)), "by-MM-dd"),
toDate = Date.ToText(Date.From(DateTime.LocalNow() + #duration(6, 0, 0, 0)), "by-MM-dd"),

baseAPIURL = "https://XXXX/XXXXX/XXXXX",

API URL = baseAPIURL & "from=" & yesterday & "&to=" & toDate,

Source = Json.Document(Web.Contents(apiUrl, [Headers=[#"Token"="XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX"]]))
in
Source

it worked on the Desktop, but as a dataset, I can not refresh the dataset, it gave me the error
(This dataset includes a dynamic data source. This dataset won't be refreshed since active data sources aren't restored in the Power BI service.)

Someone online said to use the RelativePath function, but this function does not work with Date.

Can someone advise me if this issue has a solution???

Thank you all

Hi @inawab ,

Please try this:

let
    yesterday = Date.ToText(Date.From(DateTime.LocalNow() - #duration(3, 0, 0, 0)), "by-MM-dd"),
    toDate = Date.ToText(Date.From(DateTime.LocalNow() + #duration(6, 0, 0, 0)), "by-MM-dd"),
    baseAPIURL = "https://XXXX/XXXXX/XXXXX",
    apiUrl = baseAPIURL & "from=" & yesterday & "&to=" & toDate,
    Source = Json.Document(Web.Contents("https://XXXX/XXXXX/XXXXX", [RelativePath=apiUrl, Headers=[#"Token"="XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX"]]))
