I think the answer is no but wanted to be safe.
I'm just learning how to use Power BI Desktop, and have established a connection to my SQL DB. I'd like transform some of the data because in the database the order statuses for our jobs are 1,2,3,4, etc which need to translate to Confirmed, In Production, Complete, Invoiced, etc so I figured I would transform the data.
My main concern is that if I replace values, does it actually make changes in the original DB or is Power BI always just reading data and never writing anything back? I don't want to mess up our database as its live order data.
Thanks in advance!
