Hi,
I know you can currently use "Get Data" in Excel to do a Live Connect to Power BI data.
With the recent release of DirectQuery connections to Power BI datasets in Power BI - letting you use existing models and extending them in a new model - I was wondering if we had the same functionality (or could expect it in the future) in Excel?
What I'm hoping to do is:
- Open an existing Excel report
- Create a Direct Query connection to a Power BI dataset
- Use VLOOKUP or other Excel functions between the two sheets
Hi @BSLATTER ,
I am afraid that your needs cannot be fulfilled yet.
It is suggested to post your idea on Excel User Voice or Power BI Ideas forum. Customers can provide feedback on Excel or Power BI in these two forums.
Best regards
Icey
