Hi All,
So one of the requirements from the client was to fetch data from the share point and find the duration of a certain event.
The problem arises when the data which was untouched and freshly imported to powerquery, for the date/time column there is an offset of 4 hours backward in from the actual date and time in sharepoint
I used excel's powerquery and verified the same result.
I searched online and other sources for the reason and even tried to change the locale and timezone with the date/time data. But the results are not the same as SharePoint.
If any of you had a similar experience please share how you tackled the issue.
Thanks in advance.
Atma.
The dates you are pulling from SharePoint will be UTC. You can add/subtract hours to add the appropriate offset, using #duration(0,-5,0,0) for example. If applicable, please also see this video.
