I'm using ODBC connection to connect to Hive database and using below simple query to query the database.
select col1,col2,col3 from table;
when the data is loaded in the preview in the header I see the data is displayed with tablename.columnname. Could you please let me know how to get only columnname

I don't have a Hive database to do a test, but maybe you can give a new name for every column in the SQL statement with "AS". For example,
select
col1 as 'col1',
col2 as 'col2',
col3 as 'col3'
from table;
