Data Storage : Free Version Vs License

Hi

We have user in Spain that has the Free Power BI download, and has set up his home country as Spain. However it says that his data is stored in East US 2 (Virginia) using the About Power BI option. I thought the data would have been saved in a European data centre. 

Does the Free download only save to the US, and the license one choses where the data is stored depending on the country selected during setup.

I'm assuming a user in Spain would have their data saved in the Netherlands - would this be a correct ?

@Sunil100,

The data region is driven by your office 365 tenant, Power BI will pick a data region closest to the selected country when tenant was created. For more details, please review the following blog.
