I created a dataset and reports in Power BI Desktop from a CSV file on my Team's One drive site. I then uploaded it to the Power BI Service. If I make a change to the CSV file on the one drive won't Power BI automatically update the dataset?
Thats what I thought should happen. I just wanted to make sure that if I create a dataset/report in Desktop and upload it to the service then going forward it should auto update if stored in the one drive. But I cannot seem to get it to work.
All I have is "connect" there isn't another option so that is what I click. It says under the settings that one drive refresh is active.
Would I have to update the dataset in the PBXI file? Or do I need to create the report in the service instead of desktop?
@joschultz When you created your reports from PBI desktop did you choose Get Data -> From File -> One Drive? If not try connecting to your file that way and see if that helps.
I did try that. The data set updates and the desktop file will update after I update the desktop file but I am trying to have the dataset update and the report in the service update without having to update the desktop file. I have a ticket open.
