Custom Connector UI default view

Below is the snippet of simplified Custom Connector code.

It has one required and one optional parameter (which is a record) consisting of three “sub-parameters”.

The UI looks like

Preferable – since second parameter is optional – would be that this UI opens initially (not the one above):

In this case the user who is interested in providing values for First, Second, and Third parameter would click on the arrow.

Is it possible? Any help on how to set it up will be greatly appreciated!

Based on my research, it seems impossible to change such interaction settings. I also hope that other more knowledgeable developers will correct my response.

After further research, this certainly is possible. Take a look at the Oracle Custom connector UI:

One more question. Next Oracle screen has a button:

It seems also be undocumented feature. How can this be achieved?

The Oracle connector is not extension-based meaning that it wasn't created with the Power Query SDK.

It is possible to add an "Options" record that showcases things as an "advanced" section. We don't have any documentation for it at the moment, but I'm working internally on changing that.
