Connector Certification Question

We have a connector that has been in use by our users for some time now. To improve the experience of these users, at their request, we want to know more about the certification process so that the connector can be published. Looking at this article https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-query/connectorcertification
I saw that for the prerequisites we have to have an open thread on Forum Ideas (https://ideas.powerbi.com/), could you let me know if the thread can be opened at any time? What about the registration form (https://forms.microsoft.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=v4j5cvGGr0GRqy180BHbR2DcOSp0ibhKolmfRqZYZ51UN...), can I fill it out too? I was in doubt because the article indicated that it would be necessary to open the thread only when a Microsoft contact indicated this, but I don't have any contact.

Hi @robimoreira

You can submit an idea at Ideas (powerbi.com) forum at any time. Since you already have users that use your connector, you can let them help vote up the idea you submitted. You can also search in the Ideas forum first to see if there are already some ideas raising the requirement to have a connector for the public product that your connector is for. If there are, you don't need to submit a new one I think. This prerequisity is aimed to ensure that the connector is widely needed by users.

If you're interested in pursuing certification of your custom connector, ensure that your scenario and connector meet the prerequisites and requirements outlined in the article. Failure to do so will cause delays in certification as our team will require you to fix any issues or inconsistencies prior to moving forward with certification.

You can complete and submit the registration form to get started. The corresponding Microsoft team will contact you after they receive the form. They will help you during the certification process. Don't hesitate to start it!
