I am trying to connect to a PostgreSQL server without an ODBC. The PostgreSQL server requires an SSL cert, database, server, user name, port number, and a password. I am using an ODBC with Npgsql but automatic refresh requires my local computer to be on. If this is not possible are there any resources that show how to connect an ODBC on a VM in Azure? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You can use a Power BI Gateway to connect for automatic refreshes, but that still needs to be installed on a computer which will be on when the refresh is scheduled for. If your company has an on premises server you could put it on that, not sure if it can be installed on a VM in the cloud
