Conditional counting based on aggregate results

I Have a table with records on training, two columns are 'Status' and 'Result', the Status hold intermediate value like "pending" verification the Result holds final values like "Pass" or "Fail", the issue is that the Pass/fail indication is getting created only upon completion of 3 records (3 intermediate tests.on other ocasions less, like 2, that number doesn't matter)

I'm trying to calculate additional situation/status that represents "InProgress" which means user submitted min 1 test  - this will indicate he is InProgress untill that last record gets created (Pass/Fail).

Problem is, I don't have the InProgress populated anywhere, I need to use a measure in some way.

I was able to create a measure to indicate tha status per record, And I'm getting the view, but unfortunately unable to count the total number of user in InProgress

Here is the measure that provide the colored results

StatusResult = IF ( AND (ISBLANK (COUNT (KnowledgeDB[Result])),NOT(ISBLANK(COUNT(KnowledgeDB[SubmissionDate])))), "InProgress", MIN(KnowledgeDB[Result]))

I've been trying to count back the results from the measure using COUNTX and COUNTROWS with filter, none worked.

Thanks.

Hi, @YBZ59

Create a calculated column by using something like

InProgressStatus = IF(
ISBLANK([Result]) && NOT(ISBLANK([SubmissionDate])),
"InProgress",
[Result]
)

then create a dax measure to count the inProgress values.

InProgressRecordsCount = COUNTROWS(
FILTER(
KnowledgeDB,
[InProgressStatus] = "InProgress"
)
)
