Hi all,
In short:
I made some changes in a Transform Sample File (e.g. adding a column, replacing values, changing data type). But when I look in the final Query that has been made, I only see the added column. It seems like the replacing values and changing data type did not work.
Then the more elaborated version of my problem:
I´ve loaded some txt files (from a Sharepoint folder) which contains decimal numbers like 0.010793. When changing the datatype to decimal number (in the Transform Sample File), I first have to replace the “.” by a “,”, because otherwise it will not be recognized as a decimal number. Both steps go well in the Transform Sample File. Here a small part of my Transform Sample File after making those changes:
Now when I look at the final Query that has been made, the data types are incorrect and Power Query just removed the “.”, instead of making it a decimal number.
The other changes (added columns) do actually work. I can see in the final Query (which you cannot see in these screenshots).
Does someone know how I can fix this problem? Thank you!
P.S. I am looking for a solution without having to make changes in the txt files.
Hi @Danielle_E
Need to see your query code, preferably the Excel/PBI file + some sample txt files to help.
