Hi All,
I am trying to change my data source from one database in Snowflake to another. Both within the same warehouse. However, when I go to change data source the option for change is greyed out as shown below.
I've seen a previous community blog post about parameters being the first step in queries impacting this but I have checked all of my queries and they all start with Source. Is there any way I can change the source without having to do it manually for each table?
Solved! Go to Solution.
@Mburman-07 I realize that this does not help with the current situation, but this is why it is generally best practice to have a Source query that simply connects to the source system but does not load any tables ( no Navigation step ). You set this query to not load and then you create a reference for each query that loads a table. That way, if you have to change the source such as moving between environments, you change it in a single place.

Hi Greg,
I did not know you could do that. I'll make sure to implement going forward.
Thank you!
Mike
