Can I delete intermediary fields?

I think I know the answer to this one, but want to confirm out of an abundance of caution.

I had a field in the original report, that I needed to standardize to get an apples-to-apples comparison. I did this by inserting several custom columns, each depending upon the last. So, if the original field was A, I only need A and Z, not the intermediary fields between them.

I am not familiar enough with Power BI to know whether it is safe to delete fields B through Y. In Excel, this would break the function. Would the same logic apply to Power BI?

@CzechCzar In general, you can wipe out those intermediate columns. Plus, since it's Power Query, you can add that step to remove those columns and if there are any issues, just delete that step.
