Hi,
I need to perform a custom calculation and created a .Net API for that. I performed a load test on this API and it answers in less than 10ms by call. From Power BI (desktop or service) it is really, really slow (only 5 to 6 calls per seconds...).
As it was initially hosted in a different region than the power BI instance I moved the API to the same region as Power BI in Azure... however, the performances are exactly the same.
Is there a hidden option to boost performances ?

hey! no hidden options but it all depends on how your call is happening and where the bottleneck might be happening.
You might also be able to leverage the Power Query SDK in order to create your own custom connector and have more control over how you connect to that REST API. Below a link to this:
