Calling AS400 function

Hi,  I am connecting to an AS400 view in which one column in the view is populated via a function. The function is to return a 1 char text of either Y or N else it defaults to an X. When quering the view directly in the AS400, we can clearly see N and Y's. However when I pull this veiw into PBI, every record is displaying the X default.  I really know nothing about AS400 views. I can tell you when I link to the view in the AS400 db, I have to open the advanded editor and add this" BinaryCodePage = 1" to convert the binary columns. Not sure if this means anything to you or not. Any suggestions here? Thanks!

Hi @carH

I've never used or connected to AS400 as a datasource but if you know the logic behind that function, it can be probably replicated in Power BI.
