Automating Monthly Gateway Updates

Hello,

I see a question similar was asked around 2 years ago, but as a new user I was wondering if it is possible to automate monthly gatway updates on Power BI? If it is not a feautre, would it be potentially possible to have a script created to do such a thing outside of an offered Microsoft tool.

It was on the 2022 release roadmap that automatic updates of on-prem gateways would be supported, but I cannot find the URL, and honestly not sure if it is still on the roadmap.

There is info here about installing a gateway via powershell, but I do not know if you can use that to do an upgrade, and in any event, it isn't automatic, but you could schedule it - if you knew when new gateways were available ahead of time. And since we don't, there would still be a manual aspect to this.

EDIT: it was on the roadmap, but no longer is. So killed, pushed, or just omitted?
