I have 2 tables in my Power BI solution. One is based on a query to a live MySql database and has columns a,b,c,d,e,f.....
the other table is just some historical data that I copied in from Excel. I want to create a third table that contains column c and d
from the first table and appends them to the second table which contains the same 2 columns but is static historical data. How can I accomplish this? I hope this I made this clear. Let me know if you need me to clarify.
Thanks

Try using Append Queries rather than Merge Queries.

Thanks!
What I did is create a summary table from the live data and now I want to append this to the historical table.
Both only contain 2 columns, reportyear and premiumwritten. However, when I go into Merge Queries the summary table is not available to append. Can you not append to a summary table in Power BI?
