When using Analyze in Excel, there are multiple pivot tables. Previously, only one login was needed, but now when refreshing, each pivot table will pop up a login verification. What is the reason for this problem?
It is caused by the Excel version, and the latest version has resolved the related issues.
I'm having exactly the same problem. This is a huge issue for me, since I create multiple very large data connected financial reporting packs using a Power BI data model as the source. It requires me to login twice for every single connected object (a pivot table and a slicer count as two objects in this case). If you just have one or two objects it's a nuisance, but when you have 35 different objects...that's 70 logins, which is totally bananas. Has anyone found a way to resolve this???
And no, it's not a credential issue, as eventually, if I persist and get all the way through 70 stinkin' logins, it will finish refreshing. Also, others in the organization are not having the same problem with refreshing the file.
Hi @JeremyQiu
1.Please check the date source authentication in date source settings in service to make sure the authentication is not expired.
2.Please make sure your pivot tables have the same data source.
3.You can try to clear the cache of the broswer, then try to use 'Analyze in Excel'
Best Regards!

Hi @Anonymous
Thank you for your reply.
But my credentials have not expired, and the data sources are all from the same PBI Dataset. When refreshing the data, I need to repeatedly click to select an account without entering a password. Just need to click multiple times to select the account.
And when I copy a pivot table and replace the measures in it, I also need to reselect the account.
In addition, I cleared the browser cache and re downloaded Analyze in Excel, but the above situation still occurs.
If your credentials for accessing the data source have expired, changed, or are no longer valid, Excel may repeatedly prompt for new credentials every time a refresh is initiated. Sometimes, credentials can become invalid if the data source’s access policy changes
