I am trying to query my ADX cluster using Power BI but I am getting the following error when I try and connect.
"We couldn't authenticate with the credentials provided. Please try again."
I know I have access because I can query things using the KQL explorer online and using the desktop app. I believe the issue is because I am part of multiple tenants (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/data-explorer/kusto/tools/kusto-explorer#control-the-user-ide...). When I log in to the Kusto Explorer desktop app I have to add ";AAD Federated Security=True;Authority Id=<TenantID;User=<User>" for it to work, otherwise I get a similar authorization message that Power BI is giving me. Does anyone know how I can fix this issue in Power BI?
Hi @Anonymous
I think you are correct. However I have no idea where it is possible to add respective parameters in the current Azure Data Explorer connector. I'm not sure whether this is supported currently. I recommend that you open a support ticket at Support | Microsoft Power BI. This is free if you have a pro license. Reference: How to create a support ticket in Power BI
Once you get any confirmation or solution, can you share it here with the community? This will help a lot of people who may have similar consideration. Thank you in advance.
