429 - Too Many Requests Error Workarounds?

So - In Desktop, I'm not getting this error, but in Service I am getting the 429 too many requests error.

I have tried 2 things:

  • use the helper function Value.WaitFor to retry the API call once it fails with a 429 error
    • Result: the dataset does not refresh even in Desktop (i let it refresh for 3:30 hours)
  • added a delay using the Invoke After function with a duration of X seconds
    • Result: this will work in Desktop, but still doesn't work with Service
    • Error: "Web.Contents failed to get contents from 'https://www.wrike.com/api/v4/...' (429): Too Many Requests"

Any other ideas?

Hi @Anonymous

How many times do you call the API in your query? Does this error occur both when using on-demand refresh and scheduled refresh in the service?
