Hello

We are referencing a lakehouse1 from our warehouse1, the lakehouse1 has a shortcut created from lakehouse2, the lakehouse2 was created by using a fabric link to dataverse/C365.
The data is loaded into warehouse1 using ADF Stored Procedure Activity.
The job which loads data into warehouse1 is executing per hour.
Sometimes I face the below error, can you help me with it ?

Error: The query failed because the access is denied on table 'dbo.table1', file 'https://onelake.dfs.fabric.microsoft.com/workspaceid/lakehouseid/Tables/table1/msft_datastate=__HIVE...'. Here table1 is the table that is in lakehouse2, lakehouse1 has a shortcut to read data from lakehouse2 & warehouse1 is reading data from lakehouse1.
The job only fail sometimes, the table referencing is also not same everytime (sometimes table2 or table3 would have an issue).

Can you please help me understanding & resolving this issue ?

Thank you for contacting the fabric community.

When querying Lakehouse shortcuts, the authentication token may expire during execution, resulting in Access Denied  errors.

1. Refresh authentication tokens before executing queries.

2. The executing identity (User or Service Principal) must have the appropriate permissions.
   Reference: Permission model - Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn
3. If using ADF Stored Procedure Activity, ensure authentication is done via a Service Principal rather than a user account to prevent token expiration.
4. Since failures occur sporadically, implementing retries in the workflow can help manage temporary authentication failures.
