Taking forever to build a dataset to visualise results (SQL Endpoint)

Hi all,

I only have a very small dataset and it is taking forever to visualise the result in SQL Endpoint.

Also, the X button does not work, so I can not close it. I have to refresh the page.

Hello @Nietzsche

I'm not sure it's a bug. If you are clicking on "Explore this data (preview). View the full current results graphically." It's taking very long time. In fact it's not completing the action.

But, If you want to visualize the results, Insted of that button, click on drop down (red color arrow) in below image then click on Visualise results.

Now It's asking to Continue . click on continue

Now it's opened the UI to visualise the results.

Now I visulaised my SQL query. If you we want ot save. Click on Save report.

This is altrenate approch to visualise the results.

However, Microsoft need to fix that issue. Requesting community pepole look into this issue and bring this into product teams' notice.

Thank you!!

Thank you, @suparnababu8, for your response.

Hi @Nietzsche,

We appreciate your inquiry through the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.

As suggested by @suparnababu8, an alternative method to visualize results is to use the dropdown menu and select "Visualize results" instead of the "Explore this data (preview)" option. This workaround appears to effectively address the immediate issue, providing a functional way to visualize your data.

In addition to the response provided by @suparnababu8 ,please find an alternative approach for the "X" button issue. If the "X" button remains unresponsive, you can close the visualization by navigating back to the main query editor tab or refreshing the page. To avoid losing any progress, please ensure that you save your report before refreshing.

If you find our response helpful, kindly mark it as the accepted solution and provide kudos. This will assist other community members who may face similar queries.

Thank you.
